Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) for each academic year. If you are a non-citizen who is a Texas resident, complete a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
Military and Veteran Students
As a Gateway student, you will need to submit your benefit documentation to both Texas State University (TXST) and Lamar State College Orange (LSCO).
Pay Your Bill at TXST and LSCO
Be sure to pay your student bill by each deadline to remain eligible to register for classes and stay on track with the Gateway Program.
Your financial aid will be awarded by TXST. Log in to your Financial Aid Self-Service to review your award.

Your TXST Bill
Your financial aid will be awarded by TXST and will automatically be applied to your TXST bill.
The Billing and Payment site allows students and their families to view statements, make payments, and manage the student account. This site allows you to:
- Check your balance
- Make a payment
- Enroll in a payment plan
- View your account and payment history, including current and prior billing statements
- Sign up for eRefunds (direct deposit)
If you receive a refund from TXST, you can then use your refund to pay your LSCO bill.
You must pay your TXST bill by the payment deadline each semester to remain enrolled in classes.

Your LSCO Bill
The LSCO Student Account Suite allows students and their families to view bills, make payments, and manage the student account. This site allows you to:
- Check your balance
- Make a payment towards your balance
- Enroll in a payment plan so you can pay your balance in installments
- View your current payment plan status
- Make a payment toward one of your installments
- Schedule future installment payments
- As a student, provide permission to others (parents, employers, etc) to view your bill and make payments.
You must pay your LSCO bill by the payment deadline each semester to remain enrolled in classes.
